Ampthill Extras 10 – Dunstablian 3^rd XV 26    

Extras only human. 

For the first time this season the Extras lost their second game in a row at home to Dunstable. 

Playing up hill in the first half the Extras could not keep out the Dunstable fly half from their try line allowing Dunstable to take the lead after only a few minutes. 

Dunstable scored two more tries in the first half, Ampthill could only reply with one, a Tom Gray effort. 

Playing down the hill in the second half, the Extras fancied their chances of getting back into the game and sneaking a win. Unfortunately it was not to be. The Extras dominated the last forty minutes spending much of the time camped in the Dunstable twenty two.  

Dunstable defended bravely only once letting Tom Gray through for a try. As the game entered it’s final stages all hope of an Extras victory was dashed when the Dunstablian winger picked up on a loose ball and ran the length of the pitch to score a try.
