Kettering 3rd XV 29 - Ampthill Extras 5
Ampthill Extras failed to make an impression in a poor match against Kettering 3rd XV. Missing key lineout jumpers, the Extras very rarely had possession of the ball to let their backs run. Added to that the muddy conditions under foot it was very difficult to use the superior pace of the Extras’ backs.
Paul Saunders did however manage to get the only try for the visiting team.
