Big Brother 2005 – 06

In keeping with the style of Channel 4’s own Big Brother show (not half as exciting as the Extras’) the rules have slightly changed this year.

New rules

bullet

As in previous years the prize for winning Big Brother is a free Extras’ rugby tour*

bullet

All players available on the first Saturday of the season are automatically entered into BB.

bullet

Any of the original contestants that are not available for a match are evicted from BB.

bullet

This will continue until there is only one survivor.

However, there is a twist, if after 12 matches have been played there is still no winner, any player that has played in at least 10 of those first 12 matches (including BB contestants that have been previously evicted) will be re-entered into the competition.

 Day 1

2.59pm

House mates all arrive at the House. There appears to be no women and the sexuality of each of the contestants has not been revealed. (Look how people hold their cigarettes)

Starting house mates are;

Adam Wilson Liam Duffin Stuart Palmer Dean Johnson
Gerrard Ingarfield Arnie Ian Jones Luke Wilson
Darren Oatley Ben Potter Jurrien Heynen David Backhouse
Josh Stafford Matt Troiano Richard Mardle Dougie Parks
Terry Nelson Gareth Williams Shaun Wood Chris Day

 Day 8

1.08pm

Luke Wilson & Ben Potter have been evicted from the house for ‘playing with the Ath’. Dougie Parks and Josh Stafford sought their rugby elsewhere in Ampthill’s ranks and have too been evicted. Stuart Palmer preferred the option of watching Bedford Blues and drinking free beer over another week in the house. Ian Jones, Matt Troiano & Gareth Williams all suffered injuries to prevent their further participation, for the time being. Traffic nearly prevented Jurrien from being evicted but he made it at the last minute.

Still in the house.

Adam Wilson Liam Duffin Dean Johnson Gerrard Ingarfield
Richard Mardle Terry Nelson Shaun Wood Chris Day
Jurrien Heynen Darren Oatley Arnie David Backhouse

Day 15
17:55pm

Shaun Wood is seen talking to Big Bad Burnsie. Firm favourite to win Shaun is now looks set to be evicted from the house.

Day 22
14:55pm

With Biggleswade calling off  the week before the housemates enjoy a week with no eviction. Spoon fighter Dean Johnson who thinks a weekend in Norfolk is better than being with the Extras is evicted. Shaun Wood plays for the twos and is evicted. Arnie and Chris go off to uni and are evicted. Only eight now remain.

Still in the house.

Adam Wilson Liam Duffin  Gerrard Ingarfield Darren Oatley
Jurrien Heynen   Dave Backhouse Richard Mardle Terry Nelson

Day 29
14:55

Three housemates are evicted! Work commitments got the better of two of the housemates.

Adam Wilson who chose the gentle vibrating of a tractor seat to being with his rugby chums while Terry is off for nine weeks piling. Finally Dave Backhouse was also evicted as he took part in the longest ever house move.

Still in the house

Richard Mardle Liam Duffin  Gerrard Ingarfield Jurrien Heynen   Darren Oatley

Day 36
11.10 am

There is a shock departure as Gez enters the diary room. Gez’s son Ryan is poorly. Gez has to don his white gown, put on his stethoscope and play doctor for the afternoon.
Darren is also evicted as he chooses to spend the weekend on the piss with ‘other friends’.

Jurrien narrowly avoids exit as he goes to the diary room complaining of ‘man flu’ but is well enough to bench for the Extras after a Friday session with Night Nurse. He then disappears from the touch-line and is seen appearing for Ampthill Second Team in their match on the next pitch, and scores.

For the moment Big Brother is down to the last three contestants. Will more than one last until the twelfth week thus opening the contest for others to join?

The Last Three :

Richard Mardle Liam Duffin  Jurrien Heynen

Day 43

Jurrien chooses a wedding over rugby and is out! Will scruffy Jurrien find anything smart enough in his wardrobe or will he be in his preferred trainers and t-shirt for the smart do?

And then there was two. Last Two

Liam Duffin           Richard Mardle
